B Resort Orlando brings minimalist modern comfort to Walt Disney World, revamping former Royal Plaza Hotel | Inside the Magic

June 12, 2014 Posted in: Disney , News , News & Events Food trucks have been all the rage for quite some time, offering unique dining experiences without even having to go into a restaurant. Theme parks have been incorporating them now for quite some time, using them in place of normal food stands. While many parks serve typical theme park fare, Disney has been serving very unique flavors from their trucks, often times giving dishes that have been inspired by different areas of their parks. Coming up June 21st, Downtown Disney is going to roll out a huge new mini-festival, and its one that sounds mighty tasty. Walt Disney Worlds first ever Food Truck Bazaar-Trucks on the Town, will take place on Saturday June 21st at Downtown Disney in the event lawn, closestto Cirque Du Soleil. Fourteen food trucks will man the field with everything from empanadas, and cheesesteaks to seafood and cupcakes. The four Downtown Disney food trucks which made their debut earlier this year will also be on hand, as well as the ESPN food truck and Namaste Cafe from Animal Kingdom. Heres the line up of the other local trucks: Ellie Lous Brews & BBQ La Empanada El Cactus Azul Mayan Grill The food truck bazaar kicks off on Saturday June 21st for one day only, at 5p.m. The event runs until 10p.m.

THE LION KING to Open at Shanghai Disney Resort and in Mexico City

Casting for the show is scheduled to begin this summer in China with a focus on recruiting and developing local talent. Shanghai Disney Resort has engaged United Asia Arts Entertainment to support the casting efforts. In 2006, the Australian tour production of THE LION KING played Shanghai in English and became the longest running musical in the country's history, having played 101 sold out performances at Shanghai Grand Theatre. MEXICO CITY: THE LION KING's Spanish-language premiere in Mexico City will be produced by OCESA and will be the largest theatrical production ever to be mounted in Mexico. OCESA also produced successful productions of Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST and most recently, The Disney and Cameron Mackintosh production of MARY POPPINS in 2012. The production will be performed in Spanish and will begin performances in May of 2015 at the Telcel Theatre in Mexico City. In 2008, OCESA also presented The North American, English-language tour of THE LION KING in Mexico City. The four week hit engagement sold over 165,000 tickets at the Auditorio Nacional. FreeWi-Fi is fast, getting speeds of 5mpbs down and 0.6mbps up. The hotels zero entry pool features a small water play area for kids. Dont expect anything too fancy around the pool and outdoor areas, clearly the least renovated of the hotel. While the rooms and indoor public areas look brand new, the pool area still feels a bit dated. B Resort Orlando also has more than 25,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor flexible function space for meetings, events and weddings across multiple ballrooms, continuing the modern theme with sparkling crystal chandeliers overhead for an elegant twist. Though the hotel welcomes its first guests on Monday, a few of its signature amenities wont be open until later this month. The BIndulgedSpa will debut with four treatment rooms, including one for couple therapies, a hair salon, nail boutique, relaxation lounge, mens and womens locker rooms, and fitness center. A sampling of their aromatherapy scents offered a sense of the luxuriousness that guests will enjoy while being pampered there soon. AVEDA products are used throughout the hotel, including the guest room bathrooms.
